DeafBug
If I open FF, it load the home page by default. If I open a new tab, it is blank. Can it load the home page by default? Not to be cofuse with a new tab programmically, meaning if I click on a link that should open a new window. But I set it to open in a tab instead. Many times, if not everytime, when I manual open a new tab myself, it is blank and I have to click on the home icon to load Google, which is my home page. Can a page be loaded when you open a new tab?
Neil P
You can accomplish this with this extension (I didn't test it, but it seems like an easy extension)Without installing an extension, you could also middle click the home button. Doing so will open a new tab with your home page in it. (You can also middle click the back/forward buttons, bookmarks, the throbber and probably some other things, too)

Neil P
Well, I mostly find the stuff from reading blogs/forums. http://planet.mozilla.org lists a very large number of blogs, and a lot of times when new features get added, someone will say something about it. There are some central repositories for information here and here. Otherwise, it's trial and error, just to see if it works. As for extensions, they have so many of them these days that no matter how simple or outlandish an idea sounds, a lot of times someone else already had the idea and made the extension, so it's just a matter of searching http://addons.mozilla.org and seeing what turns up.Another easy way to see changes is from The Burning Edge. The guy who runs that site (Jesse Ruderman (a great blog, but not always 100% family friendly)) frequently updates what has recently been fixed (and broken). He doesn't list every single change, but he does list major ones. He also keeps lists of what has changed between releases. If you want to see, for example, what they fixed in the just-released Firefox 1.5.0.3, he's got a list for that (in this particular case, it's just one or two bugs--look at the Firefox 1.5 comprehensive list for an example of how in-depth he gets)
zlim
grrrr...in the middle of typing my reply, FF just shut itself down and updated. Why did I not get a chance to do it later as I did on another computer earlier today? This is as bad as MS!!!Anyway back to my reply. It is also possible to have FF open up with several "home pages". When you set it up Tools/Options?/General tab then you have an easy and a hard way.Easy way...open all the tabs you want then select Use current pages as home pageHarder way...type in the first location then insert the vertical line| (found on the keyboard at shift above \ symbol) it looks like two dashes but it becomes a vertical line. Type in the next address, insert a vertical line and keep doing this until you have all the addresses in that you want to open when you fire up FF.
