BoardFlak
You could probably set off a few Mac users by critiquing the new Mac commercials. For instance, by pointing out that "touche" doesn't necessarily require that the comment thus acknowledged be a counterpoint to a previous point. From Dictionary.com:Used to acknowledge a hit in fencing or a successful criticism or an effective point in argument.Since the "Apple person's" comment is a successful criticism, the "PC person's" reply of "touche" is entirely appropriate. A slap on the wrist goes to the Apple adwriters. Edited June 24, 2006 by BoardFlak
Guest LilBambi
The great thing about John Dvorak is that he makes listening or reading fun ... and he always tries to get a rise out of someone. But he certainly has a few pet areas where he gets the best 'rises.'
