réjean
Unfortunately, I'm afraid for Canadian members only;http://performance.cira.ca/ I am just wondering how my results compare with others. I sure wish I could get better results for all the money we are paying. We are dealing with Bell Aliant in our region which as a monopily so very little choice. No cable access available where we are.
abarbarian
I am just wondering how my results compare with others. Well you can at least claim that your speeds are twice as fast as mine, an I am supposed to be living in the third richest country in the world. God bless Thatcher, Blair, Clegg and Cameron :worthy: :worthy: Some odd results on that map. I can see the dots on the very edges getting slow speeds but there are several dots with awful speeds in close proximity to clusters of high speed dots, most odd. zlim
I don't know what Verizon dsl speeds are in my area. They used to claim up to 2Mbps for something like $20.99/month. For $19.99/month you get .5 to 1Mbps. I just checked a chart and it looks like the price is $29.99, plus tax if you also have phone service, which we do. But my speedtest yesterday and today shows I'm getting over 30Mbps with cable at $53.95/month no tax. So for me, paying $24 more to go from 3Mbps to 30Mbps is worth it.

Capt.Crow
It,s really slow just before the officepeople go home for the night . But if you want a surprise check out the broadband speeds claimed by countries around the world.
burninbush
Ahem ... Comcast cable just recently quietly raised my d/l speed to 90+ Mbits /second. Does about 7 Mbits upload. I'm so happy I bought that new modem a few months back.
