Use Your Browser as a Notepad! (Firefox, PaleMoon, Opera, Chrome)

Need a scratch pad? A quick place to copy/paste text, images, etc? Its easy. Just open a new tab, paste the following in the address bar: data:text/html, and press Enter.

Voila! You can save the file as an HTML page or bookmark it for quick access. This works in Firefox, Pale Moon, Opera and Chrome (not IE).

I also learned from someone else that you can also create a new bookmark. Set the location to data:text/html,%20 and save it to your toolbar menu for quick access.

via Pete, if you use NoScript, you'll get an advisory/warning:

javascript: and data: URIs typed or pasted in the address bar are disabled to prevent social engineering attacks.

Developers can enable them for testing purposes by toggling the "noscript.allowURLBarJS" preference.
