Jimi Hendrix - Wikipedia

 

Jimi Hendrix would have been 70 this year. He was born Nov 27, 1942 in Seattle and passed away in London on Sep 18, 1970. He was amazing and a great loss.

 

Despite a limited mainstream exposure of four years, he is widely considered to have been the greatest electric guitarist in the history of popular music, and one of the most important musicians of the 20th century.

I've often wondered what his music would have evolved into, and what effect it would have had on Rock&Roll in general, had he lived to this ripe old age. I guess we'll never know, though.
