Mozilla sent Firefox Version 57.0 to the release channel today.  The update includes four (4) security updates, 1 Critical, 1 High, 1 Moderate and 1 Low.

As of this posting, Firefox ESR remains at version 52.4.0.  Update:  Firefox ESR version 52.5 has been released.

With this release, "legacy" add-ons (XUL-based) will no longer function.  This update changes the add-ons system to the WebExtensions API. The Mozilla Add-ons portal will list only WebExtensions-compatible add-ons by default.  Legacy Extensions are listed separately located under Tools > Add-ons.  From there click "Find a Replacement"and check the three pages of available extensions.

In addition, this update introduces the new Quantum engine (Firefox Quantum) which is replacing parts of parts of the familiar old Gecko engine.

text has been better looking, photos - depends: if low resolution (less than 200) they look worse , higher resolution looks very good.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. ~C. Odd thing I noticed when installing the stable version through the Ubuntu repos after using the beta version for a while, is that the Ubuntu modifications add-on is still installed as a dependency (or recommended package), even though it's a legacy extension and no longer gets loaded.

And yes... I love this browser again... This is a major improvement!
