NO NO NO StrikerIt did NOT behave --->>>Very shortly after the Sound was back up IT CLICKED off B) So for PEACR of MIND and trying for stabilty with the Toshiba--->>>I have installed KanotixIt has behaved over the last 2 hours like a perfect gentleman  ;) Cheers for yearsColin  B)

No Colin, it's just driving you crazy and that's something I don't like. Instead you should be able to drive that laptop crazy such a way it finally sees who's the boss around your place.

Sometimes StrikerCertain Machines do NOT perform at all with certain OS'sI just keep asking Toshiba what IT wants to try  ;)  B) and this time KANOTIX is what came through  B) So hopefully it is a WIN WIN situation--->>>Even though I did an Apt get update and Apt get Upgrade ALL packages :P Cheers for YearsColin  :D
