V.T. Eric Layton
As some of you may know, I was privileged to have had an ongoing email conversation with Bruno for the last few weeks of his time in this plane of existence. We talked about many things in those emails. I still have them archived (and backed up) on my systems. This excerpt below was from the last email that he sent out to everyone... I wish you all a very good life with much love and I will be sending out good vibes over each of you all the time ! Love, Bruno We have not forgotten you, brother. We will not forget. ~Eric
sunrat
It was an honour to have made acquaintance with Bruno, and an ongoing honour to keep his legend alive. He'll be doing tech support for Heaven OS these days.
V.T. Eric Layton
{ a paste from another thread here at Scot's } Absence makes the heart grow fonder. It's very true that Bruno did, in fact, influence the flavor of this forum substantially with his attitudes toward teaching and learning. I believe his goal was to make this place a very comfortable environment for absolute neophytes and gurus alike. It was important to him that everyone was treated with respect and that even the simplest question from anyone would be seriously considered and responded to in a timely and helpful fashion. I think he achieved his goal. Those of us left behind have endeavored to maintain the ambiance and quality of this board that was initially instituted by the "elders" of Scot's Newsletter Forums; people like Scot, Bruno, Fran, Adam, Teacher, Corrine, Aryeh (Goretsky), etc. I was a late arrival to Scot's (brought here by the legendary Finn Linux advocate, Urmas). I was pleasantly surprised from Day 1. Yeah... we've had some issues here and there. We've dealt with troublemakers (heck, I've had to be dealt with a couple times even) and trolls from time to time, but the staff has always been fair and efficient in their dealings with this kind of stuff. Well, anyway... I seem to have rambled a bit. Off I go...
Corrine
As long as SNF exists, Bruno's legacy lives on.
Guest LilBambi
Here, Here. Bruno will always be greatly missed. But his legacy lives on with every help given to someone trying out or having issues with their Linux installs. He was an amazing teacher as well as endlessly patient helper of Linux explorers as well as Linux users alike. He was a wonderful friend on top of that. I miss you my friend and it is wonderful to see your Avatar around the forums still.
