After the desktop controversy mentioned in another thread I thought it was time to update me wallpaper.

Trouble is I have two pictures I recently came across and can not decide which to use.

So which should I go for ?

Warning one picture features no clothes and cigaretts and cigarett smoke. Thought I had better post a warning as I did not want to start a flamewar. :thudna5:

It's too bright for you, though. You'd need a negative image of it to satisfy your preference for darkness. ;)

Do you want to see something scary? This is my wife's desktop. Sometimes she needs to do a search to find what is in front of her.

:teehee: réjean, I had to show my hubby that. I keep telling him he needs to clear his desktop.

His computer only has 256MB RAM and I explained to him that drawing all the desktop icons slows things down further. I encourage him to pile several things inside a folder and then pile those folders into another.

He is pretty good about paring down the desktop icons. He laughed when he saw your wife's desktop.

Wow, that's interesting. Similar to my early day Win98SE system Desktop, except I didn't have actual folders on the desktop.

Nowadays, I have 1-3 rows at 1920x resolution. And no folders at all. Any folder icons are shortcuts.

Keeping caches cleaned, and having a limited number of shortcuts on the desktop is a wise move for faster booting purposes.

Personally I also do not keep any actual folders on the desktop, only shortcuts to those folders that are located in My Documents or Documents.

**** it is indeed. She's got 744 files for a grand total of (get ready for it) 761 MB.

Very unwise to have all that on the Desktop. I hope she realizes that.

You're avatar needs to have eight arms. ;)

Luckily they are not touchscreens, otherwise I would need 8 arms.
